I truly do sympathise with you Ryan wrt light pollution. I live just a few miles from a busy airport and two major cities. The Newtonian "was" a terrific scope until it suffered major damage during a move. Thanks very much for your kind words.

Thank you peter, it was an extrordinary night where the air was so still and clear, I think I must have taken hundreds of shots before this one worked.

Nigel, fantastic shot of the moon! Great detail and shadows, your Newtonian does quite the job. Thanks for your comment on my image. That was taken in Stratford, Ontario, Canada while I was on vacation. I however, live in Saddle Brook, NJ, USA, where the light pollution is absolutely terrible. Rarely do I get the opportunity to shoot pictures at a nice dark sky site, so I make the most of it when I do. Please check out my recent postings...

Thanks /P-M, seeing your shots has given me more of an incentive, especially the Great Nebula in Orion, mine always comes out as blurry shaped blur :(

Great shot!!! Great details on the surface and very good sharpness. I hope that you can polar-align your telescope and do some longexposures too. Keep up the good work.... Best regards /P-M
