Thanks Ted and Chris. Steve and I have been very good friends for many years and we went to the show together with our kids. He's a braver man than I as he stood a lot closer to this beast. I hid behind the protection of my 300mm (effective 480mm with the 300d) zoom lens. I couldn't convince it to take up a vegetarian diet :)

Stephen was here I see. He met a bird like this one and I saw the picture minutes ago. They are both very nice. I agree with S., your dof is good. The 'face' is a bit too dark imho, but not disturbing. Kind regards, Ted
