About This is a picture of a E-2C Hawkeye(the giant dish on top of the plane is used to jam signals) is getting in position to get shot of the flight deck of USS ENTERPRISE CVN-65. The person in the center is directing the plane and the far right person is called the weightboard operator he is holding a weight board showing how much the plane weights to the pilot. The catapults are powered by steams so thats the reason the steam is coming from the deck. It was taken on a haze gray and underway rainy day, in the atlantic ocean.

*I was in a hurry because it started to rain so, I am still standing on the flightdeck your not allowed to lay down on the flightdeck go figure, I put camera on the my camera bag on the rim of the catwalk, I didn't have a tripod and I wanted the motion of the prop's. I wish I would have gotten all the words USS ENTERPRISE on the ship island(tower) in the shot.
***I didn't look at this picture through the viewfinder, I shot it at infinity this is the best out of 4 shots,Infinity works when in doubt.

This has to be one of your best and most dramatic shots yet. Love the transparent propellers. The steam really is one of my favorite elements of the shot. Again your composition is impeccable. As with all of your shots, you get the feeling of being right there with them-the noise, the voices, the intensity. Wonderful~
