Aha, simple compositon, read you agreed with me .. lovely with the small amount of sky-shade .. a little more lines of the bottom landscape / horizon would have finished this shot further regards, Peter

Stephen
thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate them. This was a horizontal photo with two trees side by side. To me they were fighting for prominence in the photo. so I took it to its lowest common denominator 1 tree, no background and no foreground. I did this once before with two geese ( see page 5 or 6) of my earier work on uf.

If this is your idea of "just for fun" Jim, your serious work must already adorn walls of various galleries :-) This is just superb Jim

A wonderful picture Jim, you work paid off very well. The simplicity is what sells this picture. Very nice frame with the thin black lines. Adds so much to the picture. Great work. Don.

Oh I love this!!!
Excellent work Jim.
Have you also tried using a very light creamy/sandy coloured gradient over it?
Fabulous - very inspirational ... must go find myself a lonely tree!

Nothing on the ground, just snow. way in the backgroun was a line of trees. just an experiment to get that stark "alone" look
thanks for commenting

wonderful image Jim, i wonder if there was anything on the ground to tie the tree to something, or was it snow covered?. i like the presentation, well done
