It was my wife, Rachel, who first turned my attention to this stone. I just took the photo. It is, indeed, the stuff that nightmares are made of. Sorry, it is not by S & G (you probably mean Sodom and Gemora. Sdom and Amora in Hebrew), but just about 7 miles south of the source of the Jordan, whereas S & G are about 100 miles south of there. Thanks for your comment on the photo, though. Regards, Rafi

A thing of childhood nightmares. And, some adults as well. Or this could be near the site of the bibical cities of S. and G. :-) You have a good eye for photography, Rafi.

A weird and attractive sculpture created from the nature. Best the details and the angle of shot. Greetings...Orazio

Thank you, dear Heifetz, for your kind words on my "Stone monster" I am not familiar wenough to recognise Bach's sonata, but I can see from the notes that the piece is difficult to play. Good luck. Rafi

Your keen eyes was proved again by this picture, the rare stone looks like a dinosaur fossil, you can introduce it to an archaeologist,(joke) Thank you for your warm words to my "violin",and maybe you notice the score behind it was Bach's solo violin sonata Chaconne,it's tough to play well,I'm practising it these days

It took them seven years to sculp my ugly face in the stone and I wasn't alowed to move. In the end they took away the stone and left me there instead. Nevertheless, thank you for commenting on my "Stone monster", my dear friend Armando. Shalom and Saludas, Rafi

yep... a really scary simulacra... IMO maybe a close-up would have made it even more scarier but still a "curious" stone to see...
