Fantastic idea doesn't quite come off. Candelabras dominate image and aren't particulary attractive. Simpler ones would have worked better. You have done a good job with the lighting and composition to create vulnerability. Would have liked to see more of the beautiful models face.
OK then, by far the best thing about this photo is the model; a strong, beautiful face and an interesting expression. The idea of taking her from behind the iron candlesticks is interesting, but the light illuminating her and the light from the candles seem to be warring against one another, I can't work out what kind of light it is or where it is coming from. The low angle throwing those shadows up behind her on the wall is interesting, and they could be dramatic. But the biggest problem for me is the general fuzziness. I think with the low level of light that was probably the best you could do, and actually for 1/15th sec it's quite good. But definitely the place for one of those small collapsible tripods! I think this scene has a lot of promise, very original treatment, but I'd like to have seen a few variations on the theme, slightly different angles, different focus zones, different framing. I don't think this is quite "it" but it's definitely worth experimenting with. And keep working with your model, if you can; she's great!
Roger, Well basically I wanted that people could tell me if they liked the picture. If there are ways to make that picture better or why the picture have "problems" either on the framing, ligthing, etc... That really help me to understand more about photography and helps me to make my pictures better. Thank you!
