Hi Gloria. First, i will like to thank you for the nice comment you have made to my pictures. Your kind words gave me the oportunity to discover your portfolio, a joy to the eye. From all your photos, this is probably my favourite, although it was not a easy choice. Your sea photos, direct and simply composed, the strong colors, the peace and clean images transmit a feeling of peace and hapiness, as if any image was a good memory from the past. Lovely shot. Very vivid and colorful, and a very creative and interesting shot. I dare to think the shot might have been even more artful without the yellow parachute! What would this look like if that image were cloned out? It would be more graphical, more abstract, more minimalist.

Gloria,
Beautifully created. This is a great play on perspective, with the comparative size of brolly and parachute making for a very humorous contrast.
So, top marks for observation and for the patience of waiting for things to come together.
The white parts of the umbrella have fooled the camera into under-exposing a little bit, making them come out gray.
This would get full marks if you could get the parachutist to "land" on the umbrella!
Good shot overall.

Hi Ozjan...no, I was lying in my beach chair, soaking up the sunshine...the umbrellas belonged to people near by. I had been just enjoying the scenery...when I noticed the parasailor was dipping low...I focused on the umbrellas...and waited for him to enter the scene....then went back to daydreaming and soaking up the sun, lol....Gloria

Very nice, adding the umbrellas to the forground took a run of the mill shot and made it interesting. I like the colors and the composition.

Thank you Mauri..I do not understand Italian although my grandparents were born there. The translation button does not appear when you send a comment...as it does in some of other friends comments. I have been taking them to work...an Italian Ristorante...and they have interpeted them for me. Hopefully in time...I will understand better..I love your work...and appreciate your comments....Gloria
