About I'm on the train on the right, hanging out of a window as my train prepares to leave Blue Anchor on the tail end of its journey to Minehead. (N.B. I'm looking backwards along my train as I take it!)

The photo was treated in PS as follows?

First, I squared the image as I felt it would work best that way.

Second, I adjusted the levels and other basics to get the shot looking more or less as I wanted it.

Next, I used the 'distort' or 'spherize' filter in Photoshop, (I honestly can't remember which) to produce the fish-eye effect.

Then, I took a circular selection of the distorted area and copied it to a new layer.

Finally, I adjusted the saturation a little on each of the two layers and did a little burning on the top layer, before creating the frame and flattening, etc.

I hope you like the end result!!

Kind regards, Chris

Thanks for your kind comment, John, but you've got to be kidding about 'time on my hands'. I worked something like a 13 hour day yesterday, getting home from a church leadership meeting at around 11.30p.m. Then I sat and 'unwound' at my computer for an hour which was when I came up with this image ~ along with one or two others!! I then loaded it up in my coffee break this morning ~ another 11-12 hour day in store! I do have the advantage of working from home though.
Kind regards, Chris
P.S. I always enjoy your work too!

10 out of 10 for imagination and technical skill Chris. One of the best of the day. I think you have too much time on your hands. Regards John

Hi Chris. First of all, Great work. The original shot itself looks intersting and with good perspective. The PS work is good as well. The framing is a bit to thick...(with nice colours, though)...
Keep up the good workm, Ran.
