This shot evokes a lot of emotion one is your right children on the street have definitely a fair chance once given the opportunity!Second is sadness that these kids are on the street when they have a full life ahead of them!Nice capture! MJ

I tend to agree with Jennifer here..... Shame on me as well ... This is a great human interest shot... And your writing provokes us to thinking.. I think we fail as a society and human kindness and giving is way to rare.. If we all gave once a day imagine how many lives could be changed... Thanks for sharing your thoughts...Also thanks for your comments on my photo...

Wow...and I just wasted my time on a pickle. This is brilliant my friend. This is a very touching photo. Yes...life is crazy...maybe I should not laugh so much and just look around. You did make me think. That is a very good thing. Jim

almost too good to be true. i wish that a lot of people will do just like what the couple did to Christine's father; and for those who were lucky enough to be freed from poverty to never forget where they came from. i believe that people on the streets has a fair chance of doing well if given better opportunities. regards.

My girlfriends name at the time was Christine Mendez. Her father was a philipino street kid. He used to sell matches and cigarettes in Manila traffic lights. Once a couple noticed how smart and hard working he was and offered to pay for his expenses at school. He did brilliantly. A full scholarship followed. He is today a brain surgeon in Washington DC. A tale of hope for you.

I keep looking, then looking away. I just can't fathom this. It breaks my heart, I think of my son upstairs enjoying his milk before bed in the comfort of our home - just think I was complaining that milk was over 3 dollars a gallon - shame on me at least I can afford it.
