This is a brilliant shot and a superb composition. I liked the way you have put the boatman out of focus. This makes the Ghat look even better. Welldone !

Anindya, very nice composition. B&W image choice of yours adds a drama in image. You also have capture mood of boatsman very well.

Alan, Your suggestion does seem a good idea now,but for some reason I did not take one with the bg in focus at that time, although I did take a couple of close-ups of the boatman. Thanks for your interest, Anindya

A very good shot Anindya!! Really unusual view point and composition which gives the image a unique look and great use of selective focus too! I like your "outside the box" thinking with the choice of keeping the background in focus! I would also have liked to see another shot you took with the boatman in focus perhaps? Did you? Well done Cheers Alan

I enjoy this shot very much. I like the repeated pattern of the man leaning back and the beach umbrellas leaning the same way. Best regards!

If I shot this one, I would focus the boatman and leave the background away... But now I see I would be wrong! ;-)))) I like it very much! Congrats Anindya!

I like the DOF in this one, it creates the difference between the primary subject and the secondary subject. Looking at the title and the categories you placed this photo in, I only think the cityscape is the primary subject, with the boatsman as a (very good) framing for the scene behind him. I like this shot, as it has a very strong tension in it. Very creative and original.
Cheers,
Hugo
