About I took this photo of an impending storm toward the end of last year on the top of Round Bald in the Appalachian Highlands of Tennessee/North Carolina. I wanted to display this lone fir tree settled among this sea of grass.

Thanks Laurie,
This was a unique moment. The clouds looked very interesting and the thought of making this fir tree stand out appealed to me. I positioned for the shot and took it, then had to hurry to catch up with mom who was halfway down the mountain already. *L* Reminds me of many of our journeys. Thanks for the support. Your work is definately improving. I love the flower pics. Keep shooting!!!

Jason--

This photo is absolutely amazing. I love it! The impact of the clouds and the lone fir tree are very dramatic and I love the gold of the grass. This is a beautiful shot. I'm proud of you.

Thanks for the comment, Kevin. The ominous gray clouds were a sure sign for me to get my tail back down the mountain. This area near the TN/NC/VA borders is definately an inspiring place for photographers.
