About
A noon hour photo shoot at the aptly-named "33rd Street Weir". Originally proposed in the late 1930s as a water conservation measur and - most importantly - as a federally-funded make work project for men on relief, work did not actually begin until 1940 and was completed on 15 March 1941. Ironically, with the beginning of the Second World War in 1939, unemployment was no longer a problem.
