Great misty atmosphere. I wish the cross were a smaller element in the shot, perhaps a higher vantage point (ladder?) would have helped the overall balance. Still, a nice moody/misty/atmospheric shot.

Is the cross really an important element? What kind of questions are these people asking - of course it is - is there symbolism in the cross - what a question - this people must be out of touch with not only scripture but the history of civilization. The cross integral and lends a powerful element to an already moody image.
How interesting that the muddy road passes the cross by...

wowwwwwwwwwwww so dramatic/fascinatinf atmosphere/emotive.I cannot understand how someone below find the cross not necessary. To me is an integral part of this mood. Without it it would just not be the same thing.

I like the moodiness, the b&w works very nicely but just not too sure that the cross adds too much to the picture. Is there some symbolism behind the cross or is it just a road marker?

There is so little colour here that perhaps it would be better visually to remove it altogether. I think it would enhance the mood of this scene which is eye-catching in spite of the dreary place - is it the cross that lends it some visual power? Best wishes. David.
