Chris, I forgot you can no longer search by title of the photograph. The url for that other "candid" is http://www.usefilm.com/image/247956.html.
Hope you like it...

Thank you, Chris. My, you HAVE been delving back into my past! I have a complementary photo to this, similar situation, called "Sleeping Uglies" that you might enjoy. The two on the left look almost as if they are in prayer. [grin] I'm getting my second wind stitching panoramas these days, so don't do much "candid" camera stuff any more.

This is a great capture Roger.... all three in a different stage of their head either falling forward of backward... really great candid/street photo...

Ah, so you decided to get one, Richard. Good for you! It's a real change of pace from digital snap/snap/snap! Glad you liked this one. See my "Sleeping Uglies" for comparison! [grin]

I agree with Ray's comment about the two on the left, but more for the reason that they complement each other so well visually - man/woman, head up/down, yet both have their hands clasped as if in prayer... Very nice.

best rates für composition, originality and emotional appeal - the lighting could be better, but I know that on many occasions You can't do anything to change the light. to Your comment on my "Dieng-Plateau": I didn't change much in that photo I just increased the contrast in PS a little bit a made it sharper, so the fog comes whiter than in the slide. The problem with slides is allways that You loose a lot of quality when You scan it (Nikon 4000 ED), so You have to improve it a bit in PS - sometimes it looks better than the original sometimes just different and sometimes I can't reach the slides quality.

Very interesting image. Amazing how people's behavior remains the same in similar situations across nations and cultures. If you were in the NYC area, I could have been one of your subjects!:-)
I love the tonal range here.
Ray has made a fine point about excluding the lady on the right and I tend to agree. However, I also realize that it's hard to see all that while shooting candid street shots.
Thanks for your comments on my "Dance I". Glad to see someone out there knows of Tagore. He seems to have largely dropped off the general consciousness of the west.

Hi Roger Great shot. Good exposure, good focus and you obviously have an eye for an interesting image.
However I prefer the two on the left, because you are at a slight angle the woman on the right recedes a little. Also she makes the image unbalanced, L to R - head up, head down, head down. Also her hands are different.
Looking at your portfolio I much prefer your mono images. Why not get some real b&w film, hire a darkroom and make some great images, your subject choices would really work in monochrome.
