Thank you for your comments Dawna, John and Jake. As for the ship being centered I don't have any idea why I did it this way! I looked back through all my pics of this ship and all of them are off center. It seems to give me a feeling that the ship is sailing away into the unknown or something goofy like that. I don't think any of the images I've got would be amenable to cropping to center even- but I will try to keep in mind that I may have a tendancy to keep my main subjects off center and try to make a concerted effort to take a few photos both ways.

i love this idea. but, i kind of am wondering what it would be like if the ship was centered in the image. it may not of been possible, but just an idea

i love the detail in the sun and the reflection...no flare and the darker areas didn't get way underexposed. i like the serene colors a lot, and i like the cropped second version more too...the ship is much more prominant.

Very pleasant image, I was going to suggest a crop, and then you added the attached image where you did zoom in.

This was in Clearwater Beach Florida, where we were vacationing in March. This was a fake Pirate ship they loaded people on for cruises. It sailed around the island every night. This was our last evening of vacation and the sunset was just stunning! Here's another image- closer zoom, with more intense sunset colors. These were not manipulated in PS except to straighten the horizon...

Hi, Leigh.
Very nice. Where is it? What vessel is that really? This sunset tone is always beautiful.
