About The idea here was to use the daytime sun as a compositional element without blown out skies...requiring two ND grads along different planes.

I also wanted to restrict the amount of shoreline for a lower-left and upper-right compostion.

The horizon's a bit messed up and needs to be corrected as soon as I get around to figuring out how to unwarp it.

From the point of view of metaphysics this technically good shoot a little bit eklectic, imho. What is your message here? What means quite sky with clouds - and rocks, combined together?
Regards,
Serge

Wonderful muted colours. Flawless placement of the ND grads and perfectly controlled exposure. I really like the reflection of the sun in the water. I can see the image that Vince sees without the rock. But, I think the shot works better with it. In fact, I would prefer cropping a bit off the bottom so that the rock and the sun balance perfectly.

Lens distortion is a pain to correct. I usually try two things. The cheat method. Marquee where the horizon is. Click and drag to cover the other layer. Blur the pixel where they meet for a more natural look. Or, the painful method. Put a grid on and marque vertical portions and selectively transform each part. Skew is usually best for this. I did this one quickly to see what I'd get. Hope you don't mind my changing your image. I am waiting for my shots to be scanned so I am a little bored.

Another good one Steve. I am normally more attracted to colors, but I do like this. The calmness of the ocean is what takes me far out to sea with this shot. Looks like a fine mist is way out there as well. This one could possibly do without the rock on the left, (cover it over with your fingers to see). Or possibly lighten it up some. I have taken a few tilted horizon licks, this is not bad at all. Nice shot.
