Hi, Gregory! There is something in this pic You like, but You don't know if it works on other people? What's better than posting it and hoping for honest opinions? My opinion: Taken as You posted it , it doesn't work on me. At first I thought it was the grain, then the overexposed parts...then I played with it in PS Elements and made a crop which cuts away the left side up to the elbow of the dancer and some of the right side ( because the man on the right isn't important for the scenery. I do like it better after cropping, perhaps You also do.
Greets
PS: Sorry for my poor english, I hope You nevertheless can understand my comment.

Hi Gregory, great color here! Maybe just a tad too grainy but that's probably just me. The lights are great, especially the little girl!

Hi Gregory:
The grain and diffuse glow are pleasing and interesting, but the absence of a central subject to "anchor" the eye leaves me feeling unsatisified, a little like a joke without a punch line. :--( Jim

Nice scane. Well little bit noise I think... the blurry effect is nice here... it gives the efalling of motion to the watcher.

oh...well..i think the colours here weren't from the same source as in my Small Prayer :)) Man that little girl with glowing shoes seems to come from another planet, looking at those strange creatures shaking/wriggling (whatever!)! I don't like very much the grainy here though... (re:black cat...there has been an earthquake here last night...maybe.....who knows...;) !!)

i think it's great - and i tried it with even more contrast and a different toning as you can see - makes it even more "chaotic". Great shot!

I kind of like the neon look to this. It might have been cool to get the little girl (I agree that she is the most interesting part of this photo) in crisp focus, then layer her onto the composition in the same place so it looked like she is the only one in the present, in reality, dreaming up this scene. I like the diffused glow but would have opted for cutting the grain. Night shots are fun, never know how they will turn out, and the hardest part is to try and control the bright lights which equate to the burned out areas. There might be some kind of filter that would cut down that problem, I'll have to do some research because now I'm intrigued with this whole idea. Thanks for the jump start. When in doubt, post those "iffy" shots -- there so many here willing to give their thoughts, which I always find helpful.
