About Brooke is wearing the felt hat my mother made me in the late 60's. She had taken a millinery class, so hats did abound! It is also the anniversary of my mother's passing, so thinking lots of her today.

Another fabulous portrait, Peta. She looks elegant in the hat! Another perfect close crop too! The grain is great -- adds a little vintage feel. After seeing your picture, I can definitely see the resemblance between mother and daughter! Beauty has been passed along.

Sad anniversary, beautiful image.

Both in the style of the hat and the photography, this strikes me as much closer to the 30s than the 60s. Say Hurrell's portrait of Joan Crawford or one of CS Bull's images of Greta Garbo. I'd say you mastered the Olympus 2100 in record time. A great model helps as well.

Another stunning image Peta. Could have been taken in the 1920's. Your very close affinity with the subject comes through. Thanks for the comments on my pic's It certainly is a small world. Regards John

Hats are certainly a generation past but very stylish looking and this portrait looks like its from another era. The only thing I don't like is looking up her nose, its a good thing there wasn't anymore light! I'm glad you can have days like this to remember your mother, I'm sure she'd have been proud.

Another soft, beautiful, and a bit mysterious portrait because of the hat and shadows. Nice work Peta, and again, congrats on POTD.
