The most extreme form of rust-art! :) But I honestly have to say that it gives me sadness, dunno why...

Nice. I agree with you...not only metals but all things can be objects for any kind of art. So this one.

Superb creativity and a very good eye, in creating this very different but interesting abstract, also your framing is first rate.

Great work... i found a new piece of car run over rust tonight... thought of you and stopped and picked it up... meantime the car behind me was not so kind and i scurried along. Tee hee.... Now can't you just see this? Well this is a wonderful choice... easy to enjoy these common jewels! Great work.

From the thumbnail it looked like an African shield mounted on a plaque. Really interesting series!

Hi Harlan, as usual your unique eye manages to find the most unusual items and transform them into art. Here, my only nit is with the lighting -- there exists a small but noticeable shadow on the backdrop atop the can. Well done.

It looks as if the metal were meant to be a handle and a hobo would hold it over the fire with a stick to warm his beans...

A new series, Harlan? This sounds great! The first from the "Gallery" looks great. I wonder what this used to be, but don't have a clue. Amazing, but there is always some blue in your rusty. Marília

While less compelling than your found-art photos where the objects remain in their organic contexts, this goes for a much different, declarative feel. I like the idea that this is a catalogued object in some Martian archaeologist's collection in the far future....
