About Metal brace on an old lamp post. I was interested in the rust, paint and patina as well as the diagonal shadow in the lower part of the image.

Lovely play of lights and shadows in this marvelous abstract where the colors and the texture make an excellent composition... congrats!

Great texture and lighting Harlan. Good focus and this soft green - yellow colour at the center composed nicely with the rust. Also the lighting support very nicely the paint - rust texture... so a very good abstract work.

Very complex texture in this one - almost a latticework in the rust in one are. Great eye, Harlan!

Harlan, I really enjoy the way you see your world. This is so interesting to look at. I love the textures and the way the light falls on this.

Great shot. Nice green. I like the diamond pattern in the rust too.

I think Marilia is entirely correct. We are all nuts. But the world would be much poorer without us. Cavemen painted on dark cave walls. I feel sure they too were thought to be nutters.

I have visions of you arguing with a dog who wants to use a lamp post you are shooting! ;)

Again, great sharpness really emphasizes the texture. I like the subtlety of color in this one. Nice bold compositional sequence.

Yes, Carole. My neighbours live far and still they give me strange looks all the time we cross by.

Great eye - great results! I agree with Marilia - but I think we are all in the same boat - I'm sure many people think we photographers are 'looney-bats'!

Marilia

I think there are a few here at Usefilm who must put on quite a show for their neighbors and yes their neighbors must think they are luny!!

Thanks for the explanations in Dreamscape # 15, it was very instructive to know how you obtain your images, keep attention! everyone copies you now ; -) This shot is less contrasted, the colours are more natural, but I like it as well. Bye Max

Ok, I'm fine now. Jesus, Harlan you are a show. A big one. I can imagine you going out searching for your next shot. Going around street lamps, analising poles, crawling under iron fences. Your neighbours must thing you are crazy! Fantastic abstract full of wonderful textures and that shadow as an extra. Splendid. Marilia
