Sarah, great job with this one. The title says it all. I love the color especially the hint of purple in the background. Nice composition and DOF as well. I just purchased John Shaw's book on photographing nature. Perhaps I'll soon be able to get some shots like this. I kind of like flowers in this type of light while many don't seem too. I've been told that you should shoot them in overcast light. I guess everyone's tastes are different. How do you like the D100? Do you use the AF lenses with it? Oh, and thanks so much for taking the time to view my photos.

Thank you for the comment. I like your photo too. It's funny I have a cat that sort of looks like the one you took a photo of. I have just started to use my digital camera, I have found no feature to auto focus the camera. This sort of sucks, so if I need this feature I have to go back to my old canon ae-1. Love your portfolio. can't wait to see more.

Sarah, in looking over your porftolio I see that we like very similar shots. I like flowers that are just a tad past perfect. This is a good example. It it maybe a few hours past prine but still OH SO LOVELY Nice work.

I really like the dof on this shot, brings out the flower to the center of attention. I think the colors look good on here, but am wondering, when you are looking at it locally, is it in Photoshop, or some other program? It might be applying the color space you have chosen for it, which might make the shot look different when viewed in a web browser, which could be the reason for the difference you're seeing. When I'm working with a file, I use the monitor proof setting to get a better idea of what the photo will look like when I'm posting it here.

Aww wow look at that, doesn't it look all wilted and alone, very moving Sarah much more obvious than your last one! Love the colours and depth, just beautiful.
