Harlan,
Excellent - thought you could sneak one past us, huh? You know though - there are no shadows like Marion and nothing absurdly close like my stuff often is so I think I will let you live. ;)
What I particularly like about this shot is the right hand blossom. I like how the stamens are curled up in the dead petals which look like crumpled parchment - if you still have the plant you should do a few macros of that area...

I wasn't but I am now!!! and I wish I'ld have a flower like this....aren't they beautiful.....those crinkled flowers? but I have a but: personally I would have either desaturated the colors or make it B&W (like Nuno suggested too). On the other hand: the fresh green IS a nice contrast to the wilted flowers.
Good job Harlan!!!
and now go back to your metal and rust! ;-)

I'm reminded of an old song, "Bring me dead flowers..." Love the texture in the wilted flowers, well shot. Cheers!

You found a rusty flower!!! ;-) I like the gradual decolorizing of the petals on one hand, but on the other hand the stem is still green and full of life.. the flower will return... Bye Max

Wonderful! A great original take on a less original subject. I'd never have thought death in a flower could make such a superb image. I like this a lot!
