Her book, "Sweet Lemons", originally published by the Israel Institute for Commemoration & Teaching the Holocaust has been translated & will be published in English in a week or two. Its website contains information about her & about the circumstances that made her write > her book. We expect more of that. It also contains a sample story. We > are very anxious that the so called "Mauritius affair" not be wiped of the > map of the Holocaust & especially of that of the Jewish refugees' desperate attempts to reach the shores of Palestine & also because British authorities played an important role in Rachel's fate. Right now the so-called "Mauritius affair" is virtually unknown & only one other book, "The Mauritius Shekel" by Genevieve Pitot was written about it, but that was an objective research, whereas Rachel's is a subjective experiential tale. > Therefore we ask you to inform the people you are in contact with & anyone else you might > think of, of the forthcoming publication of the book, so that the > history of the Holocaust & the "illegal" Aliyah will not be forgotten.
