Well, on my monitor I can't see any extremely oversharpened regions, Stan. String details, perhaps also some too strongly exposed parts of textures but it remains inside the region of good focus without exaggerated, pixelated details.

Oh, and BTW, it might be that checking the option "None" for sharpening in the upload dialog of UF is the best option for avoiding such potential problems. Wasn't that you who told me that it seems to be the option for the additional sharpening that one wishes UF to do to the image when uploading it?

Cheers!

Nick

Thanks Nick, she has always had that smile for me. I taught her to fish, ski, climb rocks and many things. We are close even when miles separate us. When I posted this it looked oversharpened from the upload. I just left it as it was because the smile was the picture. Glad you saw that too!!

Up to some little, little tiny small pixelation on some few "solitary" hairs over the green background I see it as a perfect job for the subject, Stan! Yes, the light is very hard on a bog part of your granddaughter, but exactly this enhances the special atmosphere of the human happiness at such events. And as the relief of her face still remains visible, it is not simply "overexposed" but rather light-enhanced as it should be. The DoF was perfect for that, and the timing even better. A very very human smile was captured here... not just the pretended "smile" we see so often. We all know when a smile was captured so well on an image. It is exactly when all wrinkles are there, around the eyes, around the nose, on the cheeks... It is then when we see an image of a human face! And under such a strong light that still doesn't hide the skin's textures, I would surely propose it for an award.

Cheers!

Nick

Thanks so much Srna. I was glad I could go see her get married. The oversharpened must have happened when uploaded. I did not change to low sharpening I guess. Just did not have time to pull image and try again. For shooting outdoors after a long rain storm I was glad we got as good of light as we did. It was a beautiful family wedding with some great people there to share it with. My best to you and many hugs for you as well.
Be well, Stan

Thanks Shirley, I was so pleased with this one. My test print on good paper was great. The late afternoon light and overcast from a thunderstorm made it a challenge. Just excited to get some good ones. Your time will come. I will send you a few via email.

Thanks Rasheed, hard to make Jayme look bad. One of my closet grandkids and always a delight for me to be around her. I think it is a little over sharpened after looking at it here. Appreciate your kind words.
