This is our first, but hopefully not last meeting on the pages of "Usefilm", Ms. Wiersma. I looked at the beautiful paitings on your webpage (is the girl in one of them related to you?), read you bio and looked through your entire portfolio more than once, meeting an EC on my way. I was impressed by the quality of your photos and finally settled on this photo to comment on because with not much more than two lines you managed to convey the idea of what seems to be a rose. The photo is also relatively simple and simplicity, I've been told more than once is one of the sectrets of beauty in art. You are, of course, invited to read my bio and pay further visits to my portfolio.

this is such an appealing shot, a blend of nature and abstract. The coloring adds interest, and helps with the abstract feel, and the shadowing in the recesses of the petals help to add depth.

This is an abstract for sure, but also a beautiful realistic photograph of the petals of the rose. Great composition and colors! I like this a lot. Maybe you could make a painting of it?

Normally I am not very fond of abstracts, but this one keeps my mind busy. Great composition, beautiful colors and lines. I can watch this for a long time, without boring. That is what a good abstract should be. Well done Diana!
