It's hard to take photos with a light like this one. Yes, very hard. And you, here, had ona added problem: the white shirt and a white beard contrasting with the dark face and the light coming from back! You did a good job, mainly because you captured the expression in sich a hard light environment.
In term of composition, the only thing that I have to say is that the person in the background should be avoided so the portrait should be better. Congrats.
