Thanks Sam, so glad it caught your eye as well. This was such a cool sight to see the humble flower fighting through the rocks surface for some place to hold onto before winter took it's life.
be well, Stan

Thanks for your feedback on this. As I looked at the market close today I think Downhill is looking descriptive of where we are headed for awhile. Thanks for the support and real world input.. I respect your opinion! What did you think of the Backacre Production thought. I figured living on 12 acres next to Ted Turner that it might work. On the Downhill side I was thinking of maybe doing some ski photography as well.. Maybe enter some ski magazine contest or send queries for images from Montana for their articles. Just bouncing some thoughts around.
Hugs back from the Bis Sky my dear RG. You know, be well, GG

Hey GG.
The idea behind the name is great, I love it!
In the marketing world it would be viewed as a negative name, I am afraid. Downhill makes me think of something that is declining/falling. Again, the concept of the name is great. It just all depends how far you really want to go with this :)
All the tech stuff is good stuff, keep at it GG. You are doing a fantastic job!
A hug for today from you RG :)

thanks Biljana, I was struck by the hardiness of this plant in such a small crevice of the rocks. I am always amazed at what happens in nature. Thanks for the nice comment my friend!!

Hi Brigitte, thanks for the nice comment. Where I live is pretty arid. We have 7 inches of moisture a year on the average. Not really desert but quite dry. Thanks for the feedback on my copyright name.
I agree with your assessment of Kaden's preference. We will be skiing in a couple of months. The higher elevations have gotten 4 feet so far this fall. Some has melted but it is staying on the North sides of the slopes. Have a great week!

Thanks Dave, I was trying to separate the Mullen from the rocks with the DOF. The light was good and I pulled it off. This Mullen is on it's last legs before the snow get really serious. It was dead but still standing. Pretty stunted compared to one growing in soil.
Be well, Stan

Nice one, Stan... love the tack sharp focus on the desert plant and the fantastic shallow dof in the background with it's great desert coloring. Neat that you've added a cool name to your imagery. But I bet if you asked your grandson, he'd say call it "Downhill with Big Wide Turns Images" ;) 7/7

Stay cool my friend,
Brigitte

Dear RG, the thought behind this is 62 year old GG, downhill skier, heading for the pastures of heaven at a high rate of speed or something like that. Just thought it would stick if people get to know me. I know you are in marketing and my other thought do to my back injury was Backacre Productions. I have no licenses with anything on them yet so I am test marketing the name to see if it sticks. Give me your take. By the way, thanks for the complement of the capture. I am trying to be more precise with my manual selections of DOF and all that tech stuff.
Be well my RG, Stan

RG :)
