About	I exposed this shot normally but waited over a year before I processed the film. I'm not sure (neither is my pro lab) how I achieved the abstract effect. I think it works for the shot. I'll let you decide.

Reminds me a bit of the photos recovered from homes after Katrina--the post-shoot textures suggest extra layers of narrative, and draw me in.

Not sure myself what may have happened either... ofcourse the chemicals in the emulsions are way less stable after exposeure than before and subject to changing due to environmental factors (presumably heat more than any other, although I suppose moisture may also play a part depending on storage) as well as the position on the roll. Since the film is 120 (or 220), if the picture was one of the last ones on the roll, it would have been on the outside layers, subject almost directly to the effects of environment and handling etc.

Well, whatever... as you note, the image is somehow improved with the waves and grains it now has.

Sometimes we get lucky, a compounding of circumstance that create something beyond real. A dream if you will.
