Jason, thanks for the moral support. I thought that a children category might include something like this. I am new to the idea of putting my soul out there, only digital for three months and only on computer 2 years. I am just working on the process. After surviving Viet Nam, it is all a gift. Wow some harsh comments! I don't "click" on photos I don't like; I don't know why some do. I "clicked" on it because I thought it a delightful image of play, and well done by the way. True this may not be a "family photos" site, but "family" is often the most opportune and important subject. I haven't looked at any of your other photos, but I say post anything you are proud of. I would be proud of this one.

Absolutely beautiful shot dear Stan full of spirit and her expression is remarkable, fine timing, kids on the bg adds a lot to the whole scene ... so very lovely and uplifting image and SO VERY HAPPY BIRTDAY to your precious Alissya, she is so beautiful and happy, hugs for you, kisses for her !!!

Thanks Harry, No harm no foul, after some of the bad nudes, dog pictures and out of focus street shots I have endured so far I will continue to work on my photo choices. As they say different strokes for different folks. I will keep working as I am only 3 months into this camera. I shoot every day no matter the weather or light. Practice makes perfect. Who knows, I might hit the front page someday. I have a gentle spirit and a wide array of interest. Hopefully you can bear with me on some of my choices in this process.

There is many diffrent photographers,Each has right to have his/her, privete opinion,but we do not need to agree with them.
We have right to have own vision...otherwise the world and life, well bee boring.So far we have freedom at this field...

Thanks for the comment Harry. I will never post a family photo for you to bear again. Unlike you, I have only started in UF and have not been taught the official protocol until your comment. I only posted it out of the stop action I achieved, thinking that would not offend anyone. It is a picture of what was around me and a moment to work on my photo skills. I find some of the street photos on this site more tacky than this one and less appealing. My own taste. Be well. Striving to improve not offend. Stan

IMHO, this is a great capture to learn by and if you can't learn off of this one you just can't learn... ;)
Study this capture and give me an update on what is wrong with this picture? I can and will tell you what is wrong with the settings, but the composition is 2nd to none!

It looks as fresh and motivating as it can get, Stan, and still it's more than a "plain" snapshot. The timing was excellent, really! The fact that Alissya is fully concentrated on her fun is such a magnetic moment here. This is further enhanced by the luminance/coloring difference against the background, which works like a spotlight on her, as it should do. The additional detail on her makes it just as strong as a special image of some certain moment in time, that one can carry in mind so clearly even when decades have passed. Very good work!
BTW, was that a single shot or one chosen out of a shot auto-sequence?

No offence Stan, In my opinion this place has been full of family snaps I thought something like this will better appreciated by the family members than photographer who try to give the best they can to promote their own original creativity so any one else can learn from it!!!
