The design elements in this image are fantastic, the lines, curves, shadows, highlights - and the limited color palette is very effective. Any time you limit your colors to those that are directly opposite on the color wheel (blue is opposite yellow) you create a harmony that is universal. The cropping also helps to make this abstract so much more than a simple abstract. Very creative.

Great shot, I like the crossing shadows of the poles and the ripples in the sand. I agree with John that the right side is a little empty, but I think it is OK because it adds some kind of tension to the image (left side is darker, right side is lighter)
