About
I was struck by how insubstantial the modern skyscraper in the background looked in comparison to the solid architecture of the foreground building (incidentally, the Hockey Hall of Fame, in Toronto. I didn't go in. The first time I picked up a hockey stick I ate a puck and spit out a tooth (a brand-new, adult tooth, I might add, meaning that the damage was permanent. I've been allergic to hockey ever since). It seemed almost otherworldly, as if it was only just visiting - which I suppose it is, given the life span of modern buildings.
Don't you just love this kind of image with the contrast of the old and new! The Hockey Hall of Fame building in the foreground of your image is just down the street from the oldest building in the image you just commented on. I made a mistake naming the building which I since have corrected. Your old building is at Yonge and Front, mine is at Yonge and King. Andre
