Thanks for the comments Jan, the moss seems to grow evenly over the shell and tail. Most have more moss than this guy.

Thanks Dave, I love the look on his face with the eyes closed, smile of contentment and the head resting on the log. Like he thinking this a great reward for having to spend the winter in the muck on the bottom of a frozen pond. Here's a close-up of the head.
