Beautiful shot Joe! and excellent composition!
The water leads you from the foreground around the bend to the back of the image. The long exposure really made a nice shot!
Dont know about you but it seems to me that the small aperture (high f/stop)and long exposure always help to avoid blowout in bright shots that have deep shadows. I think you controlled the light very well here and came out with a great shot!

Hi Michele,
The slow shutter speed, silky water look, makes the water look more dramatic than it really is but there was a lot of fast moving water running yesterday. Glad you like it, Thanks very much for the comments,
