That lensbaby is getting a work out, and its great... It really does *pull* you into the scene... Also love the way the golden grasses and shadows curve and sway...:)

Never heard of Lensbaby, but this image teaches me Robin! And it's wonderful. Dreamy but guides the eye. Beautiful light and colours in this lovely scene.

What? Blurry? Seems your recent illness has left you a bit foggy (too many trips to the pharmacy)...there's no blur! ;)
Funny thing, for some reason this song popped into my head..."It never rains in Southern California"...Maybe not, but it snows...bahahaha! So sorry you didn't get a chance to record the event...your front yard covered with snow, dreams DO come true!

Oh . . . how cruel for this to lay my eyes on (rubbing eyes) as I return from the dispair and bleak oblivion of my dark, though temporary, ailments . . . ( *cough cough * ) . . . ( sniff ) to the brilliant painful glare of new fallen snow. IN FREAKIN' MALIBU!
Oh! And I SAW that comment about LA County Snow! Tsk Tsk . . . see what the teasing cost me?? Hmmmm? Snow in MALIBU!! ARRRrgggghhh.
You definitely hit the sweet spot dead-on here Robin! I'm thinking more skill than luck but heck, your secret's safe with me. There is a beauty in the snow you get to capture each year (and have captured so well in this shot) and it finally came here and I was too under the weather to go out into the weather and photograph it. Woe! Oh woe is me! Will the karma NEVER end?? (too dramatic?) LoL!
This makes a great pastoral scene for another project I have in mind . . . albeit without the lensbaby and in landscape format - ;) Looks very nice. Oh, and it's blurry on the edges. Heheheheee!

Fiddled, twisted, tilted, bent, and then did it all again...five times. Only five shots, can you believe it? At this point, time is all that matters...you need plenty of it to get everything just right! Alot of time and a little bit of luck...too early to use the "s" word...you know, skill. Thanks for the support Jan!

Hey Robin -- I think you got the LB set just right on this one! The framing of the blurred images and the cool blues make this a stand-out, Lensbaby or not. You got the sweet spot dead on in the right place. Did you have to fiddle, swing and tilt to get it that way or were you downright lucky?
I love this one.
