Usually I can translate on line but, Gefahlt mir would not translate and I had to ask Riny. Glad I did!
Here's one for you...ingat kaibigan...means "take care friend" in Tagalog (Philippines). Learned that from my uf friend digoy, he's taught me several useful words! :)
Ingat kaibigan...Robin

Whew...good thing I had a snack handy before I started to read...
Doyle my friend, this is the super-mega-ultra-sweeeeeet (top-notch in 5 year old boy lingo) comment of all time...thanks for taking the time to study, and then compose such a great comment...can you see me grinning?!
Disadvantage to living near the ocean...ya gotta be kidding! You are right...no air moving this day. Too breezey near the damn pesky ocean?...take it in the house, set it by the window, and shoot!
Thanks again Doyle, boatloads of gratitude for being a great friend!
Take care...Robin

Oh Robin! Incredibly unique shot here! The super minimal DOF has completely erased the petal BG we know to be back there and your POF is simply perfect. I gather there was ABSOLUTELY no air movement what-so-ever??????? Aparently the one disadvantage to my living so near the ocean is there is seldom absolute stillness. :P
While the top left anther has very little focal clarity (though there is some) it has the blurred filament rising from the depths to suggest to the viewer the relationship of the filaments to the anthers. And of course the top left anther need not be perfect since you have that stunning focus on the lower right one . . . even the texture of the pollen being quite clear!!
Having looked at the critique of Anson I'd have to disagree about one point. The closest part of the anther IS is focus . . . it's curved (the top anther shows how the curve goes) and - therefore - you have the center of the curve closest to you in the highest focus. What he was distracted by is the extremely narrow DOF which doesn't even allow the entire anther to be focused!
This is incredible detail my friend . . . and an absurdly narrow DOF!!
Ahem. ( * pause for effect * ).
Wow.

An awesome macro sweetie with incredible details to these two rivals for passing bees to pay attention to. I love the pastel colours of the bokeh that provide a perfect contrast for this stunning floral. Well done to you my dear Robin. My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray;)

Thank you for the detailed critique Anson, I do appreciate it! I have posted this before only to remove it within a short time...wasn't 100% happy, probably for the same issue you pointed out. I still kept coming back to it though...must be something there?! In my case, that usually means I should post it anyway...as your comment suggests...there ARE some redeeming qualities. Thank you for that! Take care...Robin

A work of art, Robin. Contrasting tonalities of the tho stamen ends and the pastel background works well here. Stamens are separated well and provide a balance usually not seen for a two part subject; this works for you here. Plenty varied and delicate colors in the background. I really like this one. It may have been better if closest part of lower stamen were in focus. Anson
