Good portrait, the effect look nice here, I would mabye myself have used, Edge Preserving Smooth, but a matter of taste!.

A very nice photo Dan... not the best quality (not grainy effect but for example the contrast at the top left corner) but great expretion... personaly I am not sure about a grainy effect at a portrait (this type of grainy)... if you want an old style think about sepia tone. Then put a frame in the photo with soft tone so the photo looks more old and damaged from the sunlight. A good photo anyway. best regards, John H.
