Here the colors are really great, only the quality looks not good (some squares at the top) however that could be from the sharpen tool of the site that is at the uploading page.

Hi Doyle , Thanks so much for all the info on too much saturation, and contrast , and pixels and noise . I sure did notice it a lot in this image and I understand what you are saying. I don't like that much noise either ... !!! It's not necessary and very distracting.
These last 2 images have gotten more attention than any othes I've taken ... And I am grateful for your beliefs in me of learning to take better pictures ... I am enjoying it soo much.
These last few days I also have less time to play .. just the way it goes..

Take Care, and Thank you,
To You and Yours,
Michele~

For Your Consideration

Doyle D. Chastain Doyle D. Chastain   {K:101119} 12/19/2006
Hi Michele:

I don't know what tow picture is either and suspect it might be 'two' picture . . . you probably understood the concept he properly tried to convey about getting a single element to unite both sides of the photo (often seen done with a stalk or two of wheat or grass in silhouette).

But I think the centrality of the horizon line has given this shot some static weakness that need not have happened. I think you might have even gone too far with the saturation this time too. Your rocks have a neon orange look to my eye and the upper corners of the sky have pixelated out . . .

My advice is to watch carefully as you increase saturation for both pixels (or noise) in the image and for a neon like effect in any one color. You probably can't adjust for separate channels or colors with your software . . . so all colors change at once and that means you are limited by the most extreme color . . . not a bad thing . . . just something to watch. Also . . . changes in light - like contrast or levels - can create noise too.

I can't help but see how many people are commending your eye for composition and I daresay . . . "I told you so"! This is another example of a really good eye spotting a shot . . . and just a few easily learned tech tips away from converting it flawlessly. I've attached a crop example with slightly decreased saturation for you to consider . . . I hate to think the sky needs cropping but here I'm at work and wanted to crop off the pixelation . . . since I can drop saturation - Still, all-in-all, your work has gotten quite good. Practice pays off! :)

Season's Best Wishes
To You and Yours,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Thank You for your kind comment said. I see what you mean about the upper and lower part of the picture not being united... but I don't know what tow pictures are. I do appreciate your advise very much.

Aah this is a nice one, Michele! The angle used is very good and the entire image seems dense in a way due to the clouds, water, bridge and the perspective. A very special one.
Take care
Annemette

well done, you realy have an eye for composetion, I dare to say I can't help the feeling that those are tow pictures, there is no intersection what soever between the upper and lower part of picture, maybe if something, some elemnt from the lower part, say the fence for example where some how intersected with the uper part maybe it would gave it more unity , that would be achived by lower the angle even more in your case, but still very interesting photo, congratulation.
