Daniel,
I think this Image is almost a classic. The tree is beautiful and would look great on a Christmas cards. I would crop the Santa on top out of the picture altogether. If you have access to Adobe you could use the copy tool to fill in the top eliminating Santa completely and also to create a more natual point to the tree top. Instead of a obvious crop.

I tried painting the topper, with several failed attempts. Next year I thinking about purchasing a colored cheese cloth, or other thin cloth to diffuse the light for the desired effect.

Welcome to Usefilm!

What a fun image. Only thing I would change would be more floor, it seems cramped and the angel should have some light. You could use a flashlight to "paint" the angel next time.
