Awesome shot Yamil! Haven't seen these guys around Alviso though. I do walk around there every now then. Take care!

Very Nice! I Looked at the date of the file :), so I new it was around the same time you got the other nice shots.. Hey I was at Radio Road yesterday and was shooting the new arrivals when I saw the peregrine leave his tower and head towards me over the water, I thought to myself he is to high and was doing circles way up, the out of view, so i continued to shoot the migrants when i quickly looked to my right and the falcon was coming at eye level over the water and snatched a little snipe it was really cool to watch but had no chance to even find this guy in the viewfinder and he was going faster then any bird I have ever seen before, it was almost a blur, even when he snatched up the little guy in front of me he hardly slowed down... that was my first day out in awhile as the surgury had me feel sore, but am good now, wish I could have gone out today but had to get my stitches removed....

Hi Marcus, I got this shot about 3 weeks ago. I called you but you were in Half Moon Bay. After more than 2 hours of waiting, this guy took off from one of the towers in Alviso and after his 2nd attempt, he got what I think was a Western Sand Piper. It was unbelievable to see him flying over the marshland. In the Animal Kingdom, when it comes to speed, there is not match for a Peregrine Falcon in pursue of its prey. He landed at least 400 yards from my spot and when I got there he was almost done with his meal. I heard they still around. Take care buddy. I hope to see you soon. Yamil

Wow Yamil, This is my favorite of your Peregrine shots! I like the extension at take off, Did he come down for prey or just to pose for you :) Great shot hermano, I wish I was there that day.......

Excellent capture of the falcon, Yamil! You're timing here was perfect to catch the moment, and in great detail, too. Dave.
