Exactly, Annemette, though I still find much romantic in that suspence of the unknown. The untold story that is about to begin is more fascinating to me, since I can imagine the unexpected turns on the way.
So the photo, as taken, has a nice peculiarity. It tells a story as any photo does. But it also leaves enough space for the continuation of that story in our minds. Much like songs that "end" by letting the volume go down and continue to echo in our ears.
Best wishes,
Nick

Dear Nick Thank you very much for your comment. I think that the two persons and their placement in the photo is a matter of one“s state of mind when watching the photo. From left to right it“s romantic, but from right and out there“s more suspense. What will happen, where are they heading for? Best wishes, Annemette

Maybe they should have been walking west instead: "They went West":-) Thanks for your comment. I“m glad you like it and maybe it would have been better having them walk into the scene. I guess it“s a matter of mood also. Best wishes, Annemette

A very silent photo, Annemette, in which the blueish colors are still there but in a transition to B&W.
Quite contrary to Doyle though, I find those two silhouettes of people walking out of the photo very well fitting the rest of the atmosphere. Silent steps, almost nothing to hear as they are going somewhere. It is just as if they fell from the bright sky for getting a walk on the shore, which continues and continues without end out of the photo.
Doyle, I tried to get them on the left side on the attached photo. Doesn't it lose too much if the silhouettes are coming into the photo from there?
Well seen and well done!
Nick

Beautiful rays of light Annemette. In fact . . . a beautiful shot altogether. My only tidbit of critique is that I wish they were walking INTO and not OUT OF the photo . . . Still . . . a great image on its own, my friend . . . I love the wide open feel and the rays of light a lot!
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

Simple and effective. I like the way the only real colour in the shot is in that amazing sky.
All the best, SQirl
