About This is the Warsaw InterCon.

Please be gentle - the machine is fresh out the box!

Though in reality what I want is serious critiques to help me get to grips with this awesome piece of equipment. I’ve jumped straight in there, playing with the settings on manual from the word go and trying to suss out how far I can push the ISO, the handheld settings, the (add here endless list of variables…)

So yes, I know there’s noise in this shot, and a certain softness and all sorts of other stuff. What I would like to know is how to sort it out.

Incidentally, PSP9 says the ISO setting used is unknown. Could have been 800 or 1600 - I was playing around with both. Is this an issue with PSP9 that it can’t tell me?

Many thanks for your recent comments, Ina. As to the perfect perpendiculars here, I have to admit to a little perspective correction in PSP9...

John, great portfolio and wonderful night photography with your Nikon. This type of shot I enjoy a lot, where one becomes a "voyeur" through the lit windows at night. Great architectural space with lots of interesting details, and perfect perpendiculars - ie no lens distortion. I'm very impressed, great work & a fave, Ina

Love the colors John and the composition is really good too . . . nice of them to turn off the lights in the central upstairs area . . . helped the balance. (You didn't cut any wires I trust? LoL!)

Only suggestion that comes to mind for this image would be a slight use of distort in PS so that the line across the top and the line across the bottom were both 100% alligned with the straight crop line.

Dude, this is awesome color and a great shot!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

John, the noise is still acceptable, imho. You can reduce it using Neat Image.

Congrats on the new D70s John.
I like the architecture lines and the abstract mood of the photo.
Very good work,
Khaled.
