About Didja hear about the Texan who bought a new cadillac and took his change in Volkswagens? A VW owner was stopped on the road looking sadly under his front hood. Another VW stopped behind him. "What's up?" the second fellow asked. "I've lost my engine," replied the first. "No problem answered the other. "I've got a spare in my trunk." How do you put five elephants in a Volkswagen? Two in the front, two in the back and one in the cubby hole.

Another shot from the 2006 Saskatoon Cruise Weekend series. Some burning in at the top to make it look a bit darker than it actually was(along with the selective desaturation).

Ahhh, the VW Beetle and the misspent days of my youth. Sigh... The new ones just don't cut it.

Nice PS work - the classic cars jumps right out of the picture. I like the energy in the image as well.

Hi Jon,
Personally, I like it just the way it is. I think that sort of saturation gives it some charm.

Thanks, Andre - I think it is a fairly successful image, but I notice that the thumbnail makes the tones look pretty flat. If I played with the saturation a bit it might help give it a bit more "pop".

Cheers,

Jon

Hi Jon,
I'm surprised at the lack of interest in this shot Jon? I know from personal experience, automotive shots in general don't get a lot of attention on this site. But this one is pretty special! Youve got a really nice panned shot with a great selective desaturation. The whole scene is full of whimsy. And to top it all off you went to a lot of trouble to write a great about.
What do you have to do to get some people's attention around here? :)
Great job!
