About It fascinated me that this beautiful model wished to apply her own make-up and used two different coloured eye-shadows.

Thank you Dave.

It makes me happy that you like this image. (Or any my images for that matter!)

Yes she is a beauty and it was a sad day after a wonderful shoot... I had taken her to all my favourite locations from the temperate rain forest, as in this image, to one of my old buildings... that was the sad part. I shot off so many amazing pics in B&W at the old place, only to discover (stupid me...) that the film had not wound on! Aaaaarrrggghhhh!!!!!!!!! Can you imagine? Too late... the light was fading fast. No second go at it. Thankfully that last roll of film was for my personal pleasure and not for her portfolio! But gee I was sad to lose the images that only my mind's eye now remembers... sigh...

Love and Hugs~
Ani :)

And you are so correct, what a beauty. I know nothing about eye shadow but what it may have done is worked very well with the shadows. Great posing and composition, my friend. She reminds me of a TV star on a program I watch.. but I'm not good at star names.

Hugs,
Dave

I see, I had noticed a reflector yes. in that case a good result. Warm wishes.

That's not too evident from here, Ani, but I DO like how her skin is so bright (but not blow out).

Nice fill and catch-light as well as good exposure of the darker areas of her dress and the mossy background.

Thank you for your comment Rob.

She is into being a "gothic" and part of her makeup was to be very pale. (She applied her own... even to the point of wearing two different sahdes of eye-shadoe...) In fact, I used a silver reflector to further whiten her skin tones! This was her wish... to look very pale against her dark clothing and dark forest.

Your comments are always appreciated!

Warm Wishes,
Aniko :)

It is a nice portrait, but her skin tones are extremely light without tonality and detail.
