My immediate thought on the thumbnail was that this is about the beauty of the clean sand with its attractive texture. Once opened, I was drawn to the beauty of the old tyre - the smooth surface and well defined, though smooth texture. Lovely and surprising! Great abstract Fern! Joggie
yes, it's an old tire washed up onto shore. This was at "bowling ball beach" where countless photographers have photographed the interesting spheres at the shoreline........ I suppose I am the only one to turn around and photograph this on the beach. thanks for your comment as I admire you and your work so. fern benson
I like the combination of textures and details; the abstract element allows to focus on (what I believe to be) a fingerprint. Cool shot and combinations, ridden of any reference to it's origin or size - I'm beginning to doubt the fingerprint theory when I look at what seems to be a tire track in the lower right...;)
