Only thing that could make this shot better is if I was the person standing there shooting it myself! You've been to some of the most incredible places on earth ENVY with a capital E! Let your friends know if you ever publish a tabletop book of your images! A HUGE FAN!

I've never understood what numeric ratings have to do with photography, or art in general, but I appreciate the compliment. The place is simple to find once arriving at the Sunrise lodge, in Rainier National Park. Simply follow the 'silver forest trail' to it's end and continue down the ridgeline about 1/2 mile.

No question that this is a seven. I wonder where you were sitting - do you have topo or GPS for this site?

Marc, This shot is... I think the word awesome (a very overused word) applies here. It almost looks like a painting from a fantasy story. Your patient waiting has at last been rewarded. What a spectacular shot.

Hi Marc,
You definitely captured a magic moment... I found Mt. Rainier one of the most beautiful places on earth, and it made a lasting impression on me.
I can only envy you for seeing twenty sunrises over the Mountain, even if the other 19 weren't as spectacular at this.
Not mutch useful things to add in discussing the photo, it's absolutely a spectacular shot, and very well post processed. Outstanding photo.
Cheers,
Hugo

This is a breathtaking image leaving me humble when nature shows itself with so much raw beauty. I can understand why this is your favorite spot. I also know that being there using all senses can never be replaced with a photograph, but nevertheless you come close with this one!:-)I love everything about the photo. If you´ve never been to Greenland, The Faroe Islands or Iceland you might consider going there. Nature is wonderful there also leaving one small and appreciative of life and the beauty of nature. Best wishes, Annemette
