Very creative shot Doyle. I like the angle and the DOF. The blue and gold reflection on the glasses adds a really nice bit of color to the shot. Well done!

Very bright shining glasses here Doyle, amazingly good shot. Good seen and captured. Beautiful reflections and DOF in this one. It's sad that thes safetyprecautions are nessecary, but, better this than problems at 10000 above. Take care,
Klaas

Really nice angles and perspective creating excellent reflections Doyle ! I am addicted . I must see what's happening here somehow even at the end of my day . This image also is explained by 'you' with the fire and AC happpening . . (?) Well it made for great reflections... it must have felt a bit strange... but glad to know you 'hang out' too ! Nice image ! +++++ 7

Thanks Hugo! It was the reflections that caught my eye initially. I thought the 105mm Micro would be perfect (Shallow DOF was my foremost thought) and the barman was kind enough to allow me to practically lay over the bar (we three were the only ones at the bar initially) - that was the perspective and angle I wanted. Nice to know the shot pulled together as desired - and BEFORE I had my Guiness Stout!!
Precautions? So true.....sad that it happens and sad that it's needed.

Hey Doyle,
Very good clarity in this shot, and I like the shallow DOF very much. Good angle too, creating a subtle perspective here. The combination of tones, with the reflection of the warm light and the refraction of the cooler tones in the glass give the photo a very lifelike feel. Very good shot.
Incredible - the safetyprecautions get more and more severe... A very sad thing...
Cheers,
Hugo
