If you crop out the horizon the image would be stronge. The image has a very vertical flair that may make it work better cropped vertically. You could also try using a wide lens, shooting vertically and tilting the camera toward the ground to further accentuate the long rows.

Very beautifull colors and compositon, I liked too much the convergent lines.
I?ve seem a photo by Sebastião Salgado with the same theme, but in BW and with a little crying girl in the foreground.
