Morning Doyle...It's all good...no offense taken my friend! After reading some of the thread (a bit much at 8am), I see where you were coming from. Rest assured, you and I think alike about the photography vs. art issue. Hell, if I could produce a photo that required no post processing, I wouldn't be here trying to learn...and I'd probably be a professional making a gazillion dollars with my technically perfect, unprocessed masterpieces! ;)
So...with that said, keep leaving your great comments on my "art", and by all means be honest. If I post a real piece of junk, please let me know...I appreciate that more than anything! Honesty...that's a whole different thread huh?

Robin my dear friend I couldn't agree with you more . . . it came from the camera and is, therefore, photography. I was influenced by a rediculous (IMO) thread in the forums that was indicating that ANY post processing was changing photography to art and not really photography. It's apalling to me that others can decide these things about our work and I completely agree with you . . . saturation of color, post processing . . . cropping . . . hues and white balance . . . so many tools and the use of them are considered by some to be changing your work from photography to art. It was NOT my intention to bring that to your image and I apologize for doing so . . . I have always thought that good photography was art anyway. Moreover . . . I don't have an issue with art . . . particularly good art. This shot is awesome and I should have left it at that. This shot is also ART and if that's insulting . . . then we don't think alike about that . . . but I, personally, love good art and consider that a badge of distinction for good photography so you can perhaps appreciate that I meant that in a GOOD way . . .

Well thanks Doyle! Your first sentence has me puzzled though, why would a purist say this is not photography...I'm pretty sure it came out of my camera, that makes it a photograph right? You have me scratching my head my friend!
