personally i like more the cropped version (though i am usually partial to full frames... as far as this is possible nowdays... digital makes cropping oh sooo tempting!!!) because of the surreal dreamy feel i get from it... the reflected colors and underwater plants have a softness that the viewer can't quite pinpoint how it is captured but it is still there... the little fish is the intriguing detail that gives away that this pic is composed with water as a crucial element... the original (and original original) have also the sky reflected and that makes them more realistic and places them firmly in reality... so i decided to choose the dream instead... it is difficult to create such images with a mere crop and not the almighty PS (one more step up in my list)... therefore my compliments for your choise of frame Kes... i really like the end result... Lubi

Hi Andre, sorry, my UF comment notification emails were going into the trash can! I've been trying to catch up on what was salvaged.
Hmmm, I wasn't intentionally going for an oriental look, but I think there are a couple of things that support the thought.
First, there is the arrangement of lines (dead cattail stems) that may resemble oriental letters.
Then there is a surreal appearance or perhaps the strange perspective of the goldfish that might resemble a style of oriental (Japanese?) painting.
Of course, I'm just guessing! - Always guessing! lol! Glad you like it, had some reservations about the grain. Just found that the "original" above is not the original crop! Oops!
All the best, Kes

Kes, Somehow there is an oriental vibe coming from this image. Was that intentional? Do you see what I mean at all? I really like the image. It looks very peaceful and tranquil. Andre

I needed to see the original to get to grips with the cropped version Kes. The details in the cropped post look great especially the little fish. I love the full sized one best because I can better appreciate the reflections and colours that much more. Well done to you my friend it is a wonderful composition and I am talking about the attachment mainly. My very best wishes to you as always Kes......Ray

Kes, this is a very pleasant abstract! It has a zen-like relaxation feel, or orderly disorder. Eb
