This photo belongs to a series of images that were taken many years ago during a down-at-heel rock music (?) show, set up outdoor in a little italian province town. The photos are all shot from a not privileged point of view (i.e. just the one of a generic spectator), with an amateur camera system, using the scene lighting system alone. The detail and the quality of the images are altogether modest indeed, but I like the rough, coarse and exaggerated colours and staging. Anyway, I still have a very pleasing memory of the sensuous voice and alluring figure of the “vocalist”.
Well..I'm not much of a real photographer, and I do enjoy the story behind the shot. Through other peoples eyes I can travel places I have never been. This looks as if it was shot in a club, I would have been 17 when it was taken. Anyways..I have enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Nick, thanks for your comment. I browsed your usefilm portfolio: keep on your good work. Ciao. P.S. Anyway, in my opinion, comments to photo should be critiques or suggestions, either tecnical or compositive, not simply signs of appreciation. This would made usefilm users dialogue more informative and rich of sense.
Hi Susan, I'm just putting some order on my old slides, and selecting some of that for uploading to Usefilm. This shot was taken so long ago, and I'm not able to add technical details: I don't remember that! Perhaps, I could tell something about the circumstances when the photo was taken, but I don't think that this would be interesting for you photographers! Ciao.
